Whilst there are many driving school franchises about we believe that our approach is somewhat different than most. We firmly believe that the most important issue in this business is to keep your franchised driving instructors busy. We are very careful not to over invest in taking on too many instructors as this dilutes the amount of work for each instructor, making their business less profitable. If they cant keep their business financially viable they will have no choice but to give up their franchise. Unfortunately a very common experience for many driving instructors in recent years.
Is the automatic market a viable option?
Although the automatic market is much smaller than the manual market there is much less competition. We have proved over the last 7 years that it is a viable opportunity providing that we make the appropriate level of marketing investment to generate pupil enquiries. In fact we invest nearly 30% of our franchise income on marketing ensuring that we have enough pupils to keep our franchised instructors busy. All of our instructors came to us from the manual market and have been with us for some years.

Do I have to give up my manual pupils?
If you already have existing manual pupils and your own manual car dont worry!. We have a unique subsidy scheme to allow you to build up your automatic business whilst taking existing manual pupils through their test. We loan you an automatic car at no cost for an agreed period of time until you have enough automatic income to cover your franchise costs.

Do I have to buy an automatic car?
What most of our instructor franchises have done is to rent a car for a period of time after the loan period until their happy that the franchise is generating enough revenue. Then decide whether to part exchange their manual car for an automatic vehicle or carry on renting. The choice is yours!
Do I have to commit myself for a long period?
We believe that if we keep you busy then you wont want to go anywere else. We therefore have a very simple contract which allows you to give 8 weeks notice to cancel the franchise agreement. This way it ensures that we work hard to keep you busy otherwise we will loose your franchise income. The only reason it is an 8 week notice period is to give us enough time to recruit another instructor in your area should you decide to give up your No Gears Automatic Franchise for any reason.
