Mike - Amersham/Chesham Franchise

Mike has been an instructor for over 9 years and joined No Gears in November 2013. Mike has previously had a manual franchise and also worked as an independent instructor, but had retired early. Fortunately he decided sometime later that perhaps he had retired too early and looked for a new opportunity!

" I had spoken to another No Gears instructor who assured me that the company had met all their promises to him and I thought that the automatic market would be different and quite interesting particularly as it seemed to be a less cut-throat area of the market. Their no cost start up package was also very important, not just from a financial aspect, but it also proved to me that No Gears were prepared to make a commitment too."

"My only other franchise experience was quite different. I was paying very little for it but getting very little in return. My No Gears franchise just works! Anytime I have a need for pupils they have been provided. I have the ability to pick and choose when to take on extra pupils. In addition Dave and Sarah just do what what they say they will do. I think thats all you would hope for from any franchise."

" The no cost start up package was extremely important to me as I had a bad experience with a previous franchise..." More

Robert - Leicester Franchise

"My work levels have never been so high since I joined No Gears. I often have to turn work away or put them on a waiting list" More

"I was an independent for a year before realising that I had to change something. I approached No Gears simply because my ADI instructor gave them a glowing reference. It seemed to me that manual cars will eventually be phased out so I did not see much long term prospect in pursuing a manual career. Also the advantage of going automatic is that it is less stressfull, less wear and tear due to not having a clutch, and with the hybrid option much better fuel economy. It wont be long before petrol and diesel only engines will be phased out anyway.

The franchise subsidy was very important as it allowed me to build up savings so I didnt feel like my head was constantly only just above the waterline. No Gears are always able to provide me with new pupils when required which for me is the most important aspect. If I have to rely on finding my own pupils, I may as well choose a different career! Since I joined No Gears business has been booming - simple as that.
