Edgware Franchise Comments

Nick - Edgware London Franchise

Nick has been an instructor for over 15 years and joined No Gears in January 2013. Laterly he was working for Red driving school as an ADI trainer and was made redundant as part of a major reorganisation when they were bought by a Venture Capital company.
" I was made redundant at a relatively early age and was looking for something that would give me job security. I wanted a change from teaching manual but also saw that the automatic market was picking up. A friend who already had a franchise with No Gears recommended them to me."

"What I like about them is that they are very responsive, efficient and professional..... they are nice people to! They offered me a no cost start up package which was very important as you dont need the pressure of financial outlay straightaway, it gave me time to build my business."

"Unlike other franchises they are not there just to take your money every week. They care about the reputation of their business, as it is family owned and run, and so make sure that their instructors are happy. I would certainly recommend a No Gears franchise to anybody looking for a new opportunity"

St Albans Franchise Comments

Ryan - St Albans Franchise

Ryan has been an ADI for 5 years and initially went on his own but quickly realised that despite his best efforts, business was not taking off as he had hoped. He discussed this with his ADI instructor who recommended No Gears as a good franchise that supports their franchises very well.
"I was an independent for a year before realising that I had to change something. I approached No Gears simply because my ADI instructor gave them a glowing reference. It seemed to me that manual cars will eventually be phased out so I did not see much long term prospect in pursuing a manual career. Also the advantage of going automatic is that it is less stressfull, less wear and tear due to not having a clutch, and with the hybrid option much better fuel economy. It wont be long before petrol and diesel only engines will be phased out anyway.

The franchise subsidy was very important as it allowed me to build up savings so I didnt feel like my head was constantly only just above the waterline. No Gears are always able to provide me with new pupils when required which for me is the most important aspect. If I have to rely on finding my own pupils, I may as well choose a different career! Since I joined No Gears business has been booming - simple as that.
