Too much demand - to few automatic instructors
Because there are not enough ADI's teaching automatic, the demand for automatic lessons is far exceeding the supply of automatic instructors!
This means that there is far less competition in our market, so it is not necessary for us to offer special deals to find enough new pupils. We can also keep our prices more towards the premium end of the market because there is so little competition. Our internet marketing strategy is also highly efficient which is why our franchises are always fully booked. These are the 3 main reasons why our ADI's are earning much more money than they did in the manual market.
Less stressful teaching environment
Our ADI's have also reported that they find teaching automatic far less stressful both for themselves, and their pupils, and that they are far less tired and much "fresher" at the end of a long teaching day. We have some ADI's who do 40-50 teaching hours every week so it makes quite a difference to them! Its amazing how quickly pupils gain their confidence in an automatic car. Its altogether a more enjoyable experience for both instructor and pupil! We have ADI's who have been teaching for 25-30 years who have said that they find teaching in an automatic "refreshingly different"
More reliable pupils
We invite all our pupils to fill in a survey after their driving test so that we get feedback on their learning experience with No Gears. From this information we have found that the typical age range of our automatic pupils is 25-60. However in the last 2 years we have also seen an increasing amount of younger pupils 17-25 taking automatic lessons. Their main reason for having chosen automatic was because the family car is an automatic. Because the age range is slightly older, and mainly female, we find our pupils tend to be more reliable, and more flexible in their availability to take lessons. Our ADI's have no problem filling day time slots, and many do not work weekends and are still fully booked during the week.
Talk to existing No Gears franchises to verify our claims
Its important that if you are seriously considering a move to the automatic market with No Gears that you are able to talk to fellow ADI's who have already made the move, and find out their experience of taking on a new No Gears franchise. This will give you the opportunity to find out the levels of support we give our franchise's and the amount of work they are currently doing. We believe that we are the only driving school who offer all potential new franchise holders the ability to talk to existing franchises so that they can do their own research before making a decision whether to take on a No Gears Franchise.
