Carl had been an ADI for 15 years and joined No Gears in August 2017. He struggled to make a full time income from the manual market so he decided to take on a van driving job to ensure he had a regular weekly income to top up his driving tuition earnings. When the company sold out he decided it was time to make a drastic change.
"My manual car was getting old and expensive to repair and I couldnt afford to replace it. I was also getting stressed out and thought that perhaps automatic might be easier on the nerves and a potential way forward for me. No Gears offered a franchise that that had a car as part of the package. Without their "no cost" start up option I'd still be a van driver. My manual business was effectively finished and I had no savings to support myself while my auto business was being built up.
"My No Gears franchise is fair and they keep you busy. The franchise free weeks are useful, which was something I'd never had before, and if there are any problems they are quickly resolved. I like everything about my franchise and wouldnt change anything. They look after their franchises and make sure you are kept busy - constantly busy. Ive worked with lots of franchises over the years but this is by far the best. They look after you as an individual rather than as a source of income for the company. My only regret is that I didnt find them years ago"
