The Business Opportunity
Too much demand - too few automatic instructors
Because there are still not enough ADI's teaching automatic, the demand for automatic lessons is far exceeding the supply of automatic instructors. This means that there is far less competition in our market, so it is not necessary for our ADI's to secure business through over use of special offers or aggressive lesson discounts.
The NOGEARS brand is widely recongised throughout our industry and the strength of the brand, its longevity, and its reputation, ensures our pupils are less price sensitive, with many happy to pay more for their lessons.
This is reflected in the average lesson rate charged by a NOGEARS ADI, which is currently 17% higher than the National average.
A less stressful teaching environment
Our ADI's have reported that they find teaching automatic far less stressful, both for themselves, and their pupils, and that they are far less tired and much "fresher" at the end of a long teaching day.
We have some ADI's who do 35 teaching hours every week so it makes quite a difference to them! It's amazing how quickly pupils gain their confidence in an automatic car. Its altogether a more enjoyable experience for both instructor and pupil! We have ADI's who have been teaching for 25-30 years who have said that they find teaching in an automatic "refreshingly different".
Expanding demographics
We invite all our pupils to fill in a survey after their driving test so that we get feedback on their learning experience. From this information we have found that the typical age range of our automatic pupils is 25-60. However in the last 3 years we have also seen an increasing share of younger pupils 17-25 taking automatic lessons. Click here for pupil feedback
